GunBroker nickel-and-dimes you on every transaction. TacSwap hasn't been updated since the Obama administration. GAFS built a solid community on Reddit, then moved to Discord and locked the door behind them. And Armslist... well, Armslist has its own issues.

We built GearSwitchr because we wanted a marketplace we'd actually want to use. One that's free, looks like it belongs in 2026, and doesn't make you jump through hoops just to list a spare mag.

This isn't a side project or a weekend experiment. We're building the marketplace we wish existed — and we're launching it March 1, 2026.

The marketplace is free for individual buyers and sellers — and it always will be. We make money through our FFL Intelligence platform, which provides analytics, lead generation, and business tools to licensed firearms dealers.

Dealers pay for premium tools. You don't pay for anything. That's the model, and it's how we keep the marketplace free without plastering ads everywhere or taking a cut of your sales.

Legal and compliant

GearSwitchr is a listings platform. We don't process payments, provide escrow, or handle transfers. All firearm sales must go through a licensed FFL and comply with federal, state, and local laws. Our built-in FFL Finder makes that step easy.
